Bergier Brace Powers Widzew Past Struggling Lechia

Widzew Łódź delivered a statement performance on Saturday afternoon, dismantling relegation rivals Lechia Gdansk 3-1 at Stadion Widzewa Lodz to climb out of the bottom half and put crucial daylight between themselves and the drop zone.

Sebastian Bergier was the hero of the hour, netting a brilliant first-half brace that set the tone for what would become a dominant display. The striker opened his account in the 10th minute before doubling his tally on 28 minutes, capitalizing on Widzew's early pressure and clinical finishing.

The hosts weren't done there. S. Kapuadi added a third in the 37th minute, effectively killing the contest before halftime.
